V. Liner Material Tests: Tests for compliance with this specification shall be made according to the applicable ASTM specification. A certificate of compliance with this specification shall be provided upon request by the manufacturer for all materials furnished under this specification. In addition, all materials used in the reconstruction process shall be made of the best respective kinds and to the satisfaction of the Owner. Any materials not approved by the Owner shall be rejected prior to the reconstruction of the pipeline. These rejected materials shall then be replaced with approved materials at the Contractor’s expense. The contractor guarantees the quality of the liner during manufacturing and after installation, thus providing a non-varying wall thickness throughout. VI. Liner Pipe Dimensions: The outside diameter and minimum wall thickness shall be fabricated to a size that when installed, will neatly fit the internal circumference of the host pipe. Standard dimension ratio of the liner shall be based on the evaluation of: 1)flow capacity, 2) internal pressure, 3) condition of existing carrier pipe, 4) external loads (hydrostatic pressure and/or static and dynamic earth loads), if applicable. VII. Deviations: The Contractor shall submit his price proposal for the appropriate length, size and thickness designated in the Proposal Section. The deterioration of pipelines is an ongoing process. Should preconstruction inspections reveal the carrier or host pipe to be in substantially different condition than anticipated in the design considerations, the Contractor shall request such changes in reconstruction liner thickness, supporting such requests with design data. The deviation, if approved, shall be reflected by the appropriate addition or reduction in the unit cost for that size as shown in the optional portion of the Proposal Section. VIII. Installation Procedures: The following installation procedures shall be adhered to unless otherwise approved by the Owner’s representative.
