JUSTIFICATION OF EXPENDITURE TO LINE
NEW AND DETERIORATED PIPELINES
The following information presented concerning the justification for installing SURE-LINE® HDPE LINERS within new, existing and internally corroded steel production lines is itemized below.
- 1. SURE-LINE ® HDPE LINERS will increase the calculated burst pressure of an existing corroded steel pipe by at least 100% over the pin-hole damaged area that has suffered a loss of wall thickness within a specific area.
- 2. Where general wall thickness has diminished throughout the entire pipeline structure, SURE-LINE ® HDPE LINERS will provide additional composite support equivalent to minimum estimated wall thickness and calculated burst pressure, excluding specific pin hole damage, of 133 % (1.33 x unsupported bare steel burst.).
